A bit of painting, on both a harp and on board ! :-)

Here is one of my acrylic paintings on board. This one is titled 'Beginnings' It incorporates experiences I had when I died for five minutes, back in 1999. I had anaphylactic attack, and went code blue in the ER, at about sundown on Yom Kippur. At the time I did not know that part of my family was of Jewish ancestry.

This is a shot of a custom harp I created last year, the 'Jewel Harp'. This carved Cherry wood ,nylon strung harp has various gem stones set into the carving, including pearls and diamonds, citrins and garnets, some with gold settings. The sound board and part of the carving is also painted.

Here below you can see photos:, of a just completed, in the spring of 2011, custom carved King David Laser Beam Harp. This harp is now installed under a stone archway in the Jewish Children`s Museum in Brooklyn NY. The exhibit should be open in the summer of 2011. It has 7 green 5mw lasers with 7 sensors. It is carved from Oregon Myrtle wood, to look as if it was made from a branch of an olive tree, complete with leaves and olives. Much of the carving is also gilded. The carved Hebrew lettering refers to King David. This laser harp is designed to look like it could be a harp with strings, thus the carved 'tuning pegs'.
